Rouven Lenhart started his career in Solar business in 2006 with leading German inverter manufacturer SMA Solar Technology AG. At SMA Solar Rouven held various roles from Off-Grid development department to Business Development.

In 2015 Rouven joined meteocontrol as Senior Sales Manager to develop meteocontrols international business activities. Now he is heading Business Development & International Sales unit and is appointed as Managing Director / CEO for meteocontrols international Business hub in Dubai, UAE.

Mr. Frank Wouters is the Director of the “EU GCC Clean Energy Technology Network” project, since December 2015. Mr. Frank Wouters has been leading renewable energy projects, transactions, and technology development for over 25 years. He has played a lead role in development of renewable generation projects valued at over $4.5 billion. These range from small scale PV solar electrification in Uganda to the 100MW Shams I Concentrated Solar Plant (CSP) in the UAE, and strategic equity investment in the London Array, the world’s largest offshore wind project. His transactions have received multiple project finance “Deal of the Year” awards.
As Deputy Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the first global intergovernmental organisation dedicated to all renewables, he managed a US$350 million IRENA/Abu Dhabi Fund for Development project facility for RE. He appraised over 80 projects a year and recommended projects for funding, including solar PV projects in Africa.
Mr. Wouters has served on the board of several energy companies, including Torresol Energy SA, where he developed three solar plants with an overall budget of US$1.4 billion.
Mr. Wouters has a proven track record of advice to public power sector agencies. As Director of the Masdar Power Unit, a clean energy company owned by the Abu Dhabi Government, he managed more than US$3 billion of power projects, including solar and wind power projects. He coordinated with government ministers and other stakeholders to promote private sector investment for RE projects as part of the Africa Clean Energy Corridor Initiative.

Qualified with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University, he is fluent in English and German, as well as Dutch.

Dr. Nabih Cherradi is Desert Technologies’ Chief Technology Officer. Has spent over 30 years building on a long record of accomplishment of equipment's/production lines as well as business development in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries.
Prior to joining Desert Technologies, Nabih was CEO of EmpowerSun, a Swiss based photovoltaic energy consultancy, which he founded in 2009. In the meantime, he also co-founded ISWT a French solar developer company. From 2007-2009, as a Vice President/CTO, he accompanied Yingli Green Energy in its fast expansion with responsibility for the technology and manufacturing. He also participated in its IPO in New York (NYSE). As operations & process director at Applied Materials from 1997 to 2007 Nabih was responsible for installing turn-key semiconductor and photovoltaic production lines throughout the world, installing multiple GWs of production capacity across a ten year period. From 1990 to 1997, he acted as associate professor and research scientist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne.

He holds a PhD on materials sciences from the University Henri Poincaré, Nancy as well as an MBA, from the Business School of Nancy, (France).

Sergi is the Regional Manager for Middle-East and Africa (MEA) & India at GreenPowerMonitor (GPM), a DNV GL company. Holding over 10 years of experience in the field of energy and climate change, his primary developing duties are leading business relationships with customers, establishing new partnerships and leading the development of techno-commercial offers for targeted countries.

Sergi previously worked under many capacities at consulting firm Factor CO2, including Representative for APAC, Business Development Manager, Project Manager and Senior Consultant. His global experience spans different continents, including Europe (Spain, Poland), APAC (Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, South Korea, India) as well as Middle-East and Africa (MEA).

Sergi holds an MSc in Eco-efficiency and Energy Markets from the Fundación CIRCE (University of Zaragoza) and BASc in Environmental Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in Spain.

Ahmed S. Nada is the Vice President and Region Executive for the Middle East region at First Solar. He is responsible for the overall business growth and execution of First Solar strategy in the ME region.

Ahmed joined First Solar in January 2013, bringing over two decades of experience in the energy and power industries to his role.

Ahmed previously spent 14-years at General Electric (GE) Energy and Power business. He was appointed as a GE Energy Business Executive since 2009 and he held different positions in the Africa and Middle East region during his fourteen years with GE. His last position at GE Energy was in the Oil & Gas sector where he was appointed as Business Executive and Region a General Manager of GE Oil & Gas Global Services in the Middle East.

Ahmed holds a Master’s of Science Degree in International Management from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Vivek Chaturvedi (1969) is a Science graduate and holds an MBA in Marketing/Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology in Mesra. He joined DSM in 2015 as Country Manager for DSM’s solar business in India. In 2017 he was appointed Regional Director for DSM’s solar business in India, Middle East and Africa. In addition, since early 2019, he holds the position of Global Business Manager Backsheets.

Vivek brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across various industries.

He has been instrumental in shaping India’s PV industry since 2009, and has participated in most parts of the solar value chain in India and around the world. He established “Make in India” by launching the Indian PV panel brand in more than 30 countries (2009-2013), and established India’s number one brand in Solar EPC (2012-2014). He co-chaired the FICCI Solar Energy Task Force from 2010 until 2015, and was one of the founding members of the Indian Solar Manufacturers Association.

Mun Lock joined Envision Digital in 2018 as the Deputy Managing Director of Envision Digital International Pte. Ltd, and is responsible for the Envision Digital business in Asia and the Middle East.

Before joining Envision Digital, Mun Lock had 10 years of senior management experience in the water and power industry. Prior to that, Mun Lock spent 12 years in private equity, in charge of private equity investments, funds investments and overseeing the financial matters of the group. He had also spent 3 years in external auditing.

Mun Lock graduated from NTU and holds a degree in Accountancy and MBA from NUS.

With close to two decades of engineering experience in the energy industry, Jitendra Morankar serves as Vice President of Global Design Applications at NEXTracker, a Flex Company based in Fremont, California, USA. He works from the Hyderabad, India office and leads solar tracker design, engineering, R&D and Energy Storage teams. He is driving the team to deliver reliable and efficient tracker and energy storage system solutions.

Etienne Lecompte is a recognized leader and entrepreneur in renewable energy, software development, and regulatory compliance. After founding and building Local Content Assurance Bureau (LCAB) into one of the most respected renewable energy compliance consultancy firms in Ontario, Canada, he started PowerHub. PowerHub is redefining asset management for the renewable energy industry. His vision is that managing portfolios of assets should be easy. Etienne has worked on over 8 GW of wind and solar projects in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and is continuing to actively participate in the growth of the renewable energy sector.
